    Job Summary:

    Job Summary:

    As an Echocardiography Technologist (Echo Tech) at Champion Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in performing high-quality echocardiograms and assisting physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Utilizing advanced imaging technology and your expertise in echocardiography, you will produce clear and accurate images of the heart to aid in patient assessment and management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform echocardiographic studies, including transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and stress echocardiograms, following established protocols and procedures.
    • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
    • Operate echocardiography equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart and related structures, adjusting settings as necessary to optimize image quality.
    • Assist physicians during procedures, providing real-time image guidance and acquiring additional views or measurements as requested.
    • Analyze echocardiographic images and measurements, documenting findings accurately and in accordance with departmental guidelines.
    • Maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed, and notifying appropriate personnel of any issues.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and facilitate communication regarding test results and patient status.
    • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety regulations, and departmental policies and procedures to maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education activities to enhance technical skills and promote excellence in echocardiography services.

    Qualifications:

    • Completion of a formal training program in echocardiography or cardiovascular technology.
    • Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through a recognized credentialing organization (ARDMS or CCI).
    • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Echocardiography Technologist, preferably in a hospital or outpatient cardiology setting.
    • Proficiency in performing a variety of echocardiographic studies, including TTE, TEE, and stress echocardiograms.
    • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
